Webinar on “Labour Rights in COVID 19 Pandemic”

On November 18, 2020 Sharing Skills for Development (SSD) Foundation, As a part of its contribution to legal education and research, arranged a Webinar on “Labour Rights in COVID 19 Pandemic and Career Opportunities in Labour Law” for the Law students of Bangladesh Army International University of Science and Technology (BAIUST). The objective of the webinar was to introduce the law students with practical aspects of implementation labour law on ground as well as suggesting future career opportunities in this area. Ms Maliha Morsalina Haque, Safety and Health Complaints Mechanism Handler, RMG Sustainability Council (RSC) conducted an interactive session on implementation of labour laws in RMG sector. She highlighted the limitations of our domestic labour laws in tackling the pandemic situations while considering the issues and concerns of the worker. In the second part of the webinar Mr Md. Sabbir Hossain, Program Officer, 3F-United Federation of Workers in Denmark Regional Office (Asia) discussed the career opportunities in labour sectors at home and abroad.
